Department: Community Engagement & Social Impact

Reports to: Senior Director, Community Engagement & Social Impact

Term: Effective immediately until June 15, 2025

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Engagement & Social Impact Department is responsible for all of the Club’s community engagement programs and partnerships, external diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and social impact initiatives. Through our work we connect our fans with our team and ensure that our programs, events, and business goals represent our unique, diverse, and passionate fan base and the communities we serve.

The Coordinator, Community Engagement & Social Impact will be responsible for overall coordination of the department’s various community initiatives, including the Donation in Kind program and ticket donation programs. The incumbent will also provide support to the department on social impact programming and game nights and other special events.

This role will focus on:

  • Executing the Community Corner program, giving BC charities the opportunity to activate at Canucks and Warriors games
  • Managing bookings and communication for the BCLC Community Heroes program
  • Planning and executing player signing days to support the Donations in Kind program and other corporate commitments
  • Managing the fan mail process with players, coaches, and management
  • Collaborating with Fan Services to respond to fan inquiries
  • Supporting the Vancouver Warriors team with community programming and player programs
  • Providing support on game nights for theme nights, player and family programs, and appearances as required
  • Performing general administrative duties for the department
  • Supporting social impact and community engagement programming

YOU HAVE:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • 1-2 years of coordinator experience, preferably in a client service focused role
  • A team player attitude with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on great customer service
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing priorities and schedules while working to meet deadlines
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills with superior attention to detail
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including MS Office and database management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and evenings for special events and game nights, as required
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)
  • Onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver
