Sheffield United's Academy is seeking a driven and experienced coach to join their renowned team. In this role, you'll deliver our coaching program to aspiring footballers, fostering their development within a comprehensive and supportive environment built through collaboration. A qualified individual with a proven track record of nurturing young talent is essential.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Head of Coaching to deliver an age specific technical and tactical coaching programme for players in Academy in accordance with the Club's wider philosophy and strategy.
- Support a suitable games programme to underpin the coaching programme. This may require the creation of additional fixtures schedule to meet the needs of the players.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive and up-to date record of players within your allocated age group on the Academy platform ensuring this information is kept up to date throughout the course of the season and treated confidentially.
- Liaise with the MDT regarding the fitness and treatment of players within your specific age group. You will be responsible for ensuring that the physical and psychological well-being of the players within your squad is maintained.
- Take part in internal CPD sessions and work with the Head of Coaching on developing an individual Development Action Plan.
- Play a key role in the release and retention process for signed players within your specific age group.
- In conjunction with the MDT, manage the process of player performance reviews organised and delivered throughout the season to players within your age group.
- Identify ILP's for players within specific age group.
- Ensure completion of any mandatory training required for the role, including internal club training around Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Complete the Coaching Competency Framework
- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
- Carry out/take part in training requests as directed by the Club.

Essential Criteria for the Role:
- FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football
- FA Youth Award
- Prior experience of working in a professional football academy (Full-time or part-time)
- A love, passion, and experience of working within the schoolboy programme.
- EFAIF (First Aid Qualification)
- FA Safeguarding Children Workshop
- This role requires a DBS check
