About the role

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join us on a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the finance team to ensure delivery of effective and efficient services to internal and external stakeholders.

You will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate management accounts, budgets and forecasts, meeting deadlines and reporting requirements, whilst also identifying and driving improvements and efficiencies within the department.

Your impact

You will be a qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA accountant with proven experience in leading and managing a finance team. You will be experienced in financial performance reporting, with a proven ability to negotiate and influence senior operational business leaders.

You will have a strong working knowledge and experience of accounting for VAT and UK GAAP reporting framework.

About the team

You will report into our Director of Finance and have a team of 3 Finance Business Partners. You will work collaboratively with our Head of Financial Planning and Group Reporting, Head of Football Finance and Accounts Manager as well as our operational leaders.
