Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl Internship – Bowl Week 2024 (12/11/24 – 12/17/24)

The Frisco Bowl is seeking student interns this December for Bowl Week. Students interested in receiving relevant sports experience or college credit should submit their resume as instructed below. Please note that this internship is unpaid.

Internships will take place at Toyota Stadium & Soccer Center in coordination with the Frisco Bowl (an ESPN Events Bowl Game), and their Media/PR group, BreakAway Sports Marketing. These internships will allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports and entertainment industry. Some nights and weekends will be required.

The Frisco Bowl, which is Tuesday, December 17th at 8pm, is looking for Events Interns to assist with the planning, preparation and execution of events and activities during the week of the Frisco Bowl Game. Interns will report to the Executive Director. The internships will take place from approximately December 11, 2024 until December 17, 2024. Dates are flexible as we know this is right at the end of the semester.

What you’ll do:

  • Exposure to the management of all events and logistical needs including, but not limited to, entertainment, catering, décor, signage, audio/visual, gifts, volunteers, guest services, and events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of all events during Bowl Week.
  • Provide support for the team host hotels, including room planning & logistics, meeting spaces, players lounges, and hospitality lounges.
  • Development and execution of Players Lounges hosting and management plans.
  • Development and execution of Coaches Hospitality Lounges hosting and management plans.
  • Assist in the development & direction of events including, but not limited to, Player Gift Suite, Joint Team Event, Kids Day Out, Ladies Day Out, Joint Team Dinner, Charity Visits, VIP Reception, and Pregame Party.
  • Assist with managing inventory of promotional giveaway items and player gift packages.
  • Assist with photography and social media needs (for those with skills in these areas).
  • Assist with operational needs on game day (both on-field and in press box).

You are:

  • Organized, resourceful, and a passionate student.
  • A self-starter and have a can-do attitude.
  • Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and working under pressure to ensure execution of events.
  • Required to work long days (and late-night hours) during Bowl Week.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be an active college student. Preferably pursing a degree and/or career in Sports Management or Event Planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal plus verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
