Possessing outstanding communication and interpersonal skills you will be an experienced media and communications professional with significant experience in handling media issues and media relations.
You will support the Media Manager in planning and delivering best-in-class football media access, media relations and press office functions across men’s, women’s and Academy teams. Delivering agreed media access to position Newcastle United and its teams positively.
You will attend men’s, women’s and/or Academy home matches as required by the Media Manager and facilitate pre and post-match media interview requests relating to players within tight deadlines, ensuring the club meets its mandatory obligations and maximises coverage of positive stories.
You will monitor media and social media platforms to identify any breaking news stories or emerging trends which could affect the club and facilitate player media requests from non-rights holders, identifying opportunities for the club to gain positive coverage across various media platforms
You will have extensive knowledge of the media landscape on a local and national basis and hold a Communications related degree (or equivalent).
Experience in a media and communications function within a professional sports club and written and verbal fluency in another language are highly desirable but not essential.
