HENRY AARON FELLOWSHIP
Presented by Truist
Most notably recognized as the Home Run King, Henry โHankโ Aaron broke the most hallowed record in sports in 1974 on his way to a career 755 home runs. As a player, he had many on-field accolades, but he also had an immense impact off-the-field as a business executive, entrepreneur, and advocate for racial equity and social justice.
To honor Hank Aaronโs legacy, we welcome two aspiring sports business professionals as Henry Aaron Fellows to experience a variety of front office operations, including playing an integral part in the planning of our annual Hank Aaron Week initiatives.
The Henry Aaron Fellows will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Talent Management as they rotate through several departments within the organization. In addition to hands-on departmental experience, Fellows will also receive executive leadership to develop the tools necessary for leading and operating business within a major league sports franchise.
The rotational nature of this Fellowship allows Fellows to develop a thorough understanding of several areas of business and how each department supports one another. Rotational schedule varies each year depending on departmental needs and participant interest, but has previously included Community Relations, Ticket Sales, Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, and more.
The 2025 Henry Aaron Fellowship program will run from January through December 2025. Applications will be available beginning in September 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIREMENTS
Like many companies, we realize that some members of historically underrepresented groups may not have had the same opportunities as others in professional baseball front offices. We are seeking to utilize programs such as The Henry Aaron Fellowship to increase diversity in our recruitment pipeline. While The Henry Aaron Fellowship can be sought by anyone who meets the qualifications of the programs, we especially encourage applications from members of historically underrepresented communities, including but not limited to women, Black or African American people, American Indians/Alaskan Natives, Hispanics (or Latinos), Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders.
The Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC is an equal opportunity employer. A diverse workforce representing varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences is key to delivering on our business promise to our fans and the communities we serve. All qualified candidates are welcome to apply.
