About the role
We’re looking for an App and Web Editor to join our newly formed digital team, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day content, curation and management of our Official Newcastle United Mobile App and Official Club Website.
Collaborating closely with various internal teams, you will optimise engaging content that enhances the fan experience, drives app and web user growth, engagement and retention.
Your impact
You will hold a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience in football media, sports journalism or mobile app and web content management. With substantial experience in digital content creation and management, you will have a strong understanding of Premier League Football, with the ability to connect with fans through relevant and timely content.
With experience in managing content for mobile apps, you will have strong editorial judgement and copywriting skills, with attention to detail ensuring high-quality content output. You will have an understanding of mobile/ web audience behaviours and strategies to drive app/web engagement and retention.
Using CMS (Content Management System) platforms, you will have expertise in managing content through these platforms with the ability to edit and format written, video and audio content for users. You will have used mobile app and web management tools, analytical platforms and understand app store optimisation best practices.
About the team
You will work for our Head of Digital. You will work collaboratively with the growing digital team and the wider, Brand, Marketing and Digital media team.
