The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a Customer Data Analyst Intern to join the Analytics & Digital Innovation department. The Customer Data Analyst Intern will assist the Senior Manager, CRM & Fan Insights in executing the strategy around the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), data warehousing, and overall collection and application of customer data for the Colts. This role will be responsible for reporting & visibility into marketing attribution and performance of all touchpoints along the customer journey. Additionally, the Customer Data Analyst Intern will be instrumental in building and segmenting audiences for multi-channel digital marketing campaigns in SFMC and connected tools, as well as leveraging data to help overall performance of segmentation and targeting capabilities. This role will be based out of the Colts Complex located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer Data Analyst Intern will have daily responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Monitor data entering and tagged in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and connected tools
- Assist in execution of full cycle performance marketing, including lead generation, data collection, audience segmentation, automations, journeys, and overall process improvement
- Perform database maintenance & hygiene duties as necessary, including but not limited to identifying potential duplicates, conflicting or missing data, merging records, and record completion consistency
- Build and maintain dashboards for various marketing capacities, including merchandising, affinity clubs, football development, grassroot marketing initiatives, and others as assigned
- Build audiences for use in Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaigns and ensure all Journeys are connected to CRM properly
- Handle new contact field creation and ensure proper housing between data warehouse and SFMC
- Participate in data warehouse reporting validations on the customer record level
- Work with digital marketing and media teams to use customer data to design, target, schedule and deploy campaigns across business verticals
- Assist with quality assurance for programs, campaigns and emails with a strict attention to detail
- Assist with research and analytics projects, as well as ad hoc priorities across the organization as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-Year Degree from accredited College or University with emphasis in Business Administration, Technology, Information, or related fields of study strongly preferred
- Experience in CRM, data analytics, marketing automation, or business analytics
- Experience with CRM/tech software (Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Warehouse) and comfort with managing large datasets
- Salesforce Administrator certification a plus
- Experience with creating meaningful reports and data visualizations
- Understanding of coding/querying languages, including but not limited to SQL, Apex, and HTML/CSS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products with an emphasis in advanced Microsoft Excel
- Experience with teaching/training end users in adoption of systems and processes
- Flexibility to adapt and multitask with evolving business requirements and goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact easily with all levels of management and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of digital landscape and marketing trends/best practices
- Results-driven with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
