The Indianapolis Colts are seeking an experienced Director of IT Operations and Services to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology Operations and Services department in support of the Indianapolis Colts’ business and football operations. The Director leads the department in alignment with the mission of the Indianapolis Colts and the IT strategic plan. This position requires coordination between IT staff, leaders of other departments, and outside vendors for the planning and execution of technical initiatives. As the team leader and staff manager the director is responsible for the deliverables and detailed execution in the areas of network, infrastructure, facility services, hardware management, client software, service and support, digital asset management, and consultation on enterprise software integrations. The director is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and performance of business-critical infrastructure and systems supporting our offices, practice facility, and training camp including consultation on stadium technology projects. As the leader of IT Operations, the director is also responsible for providing guidance to the department’s technicians in the resolution of user issues and support of staff technology procurement, configuration, and deployment. The successful candidate will be a strong leader establishing team processes and procedures to deliver expected outcomes within aggressive timelines and budgets. This is a full-time position working onsite from our main offices at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage IT Operations and Services staff
  • Establish and meet high standards for service and reliability
  • Establish team processes and workflows
  • Conduct analysis and collaboration with stakeholders to advise on selection of technology, technical approach, and specifications
  • Contribute to the strategic and budgetary planning within Information Technology
  • Lead the analysis, planning, design, integration, testing, monitoring, and support of technology solutions to include:
    • Firewalls, Networks, Servers, Endpoints, and Services supporting our facilities
    • Cloud Infrastructure in Azure and AWS
    • Storage/Backup/Recovery Infrastructure and Processes
    • Active Directory, Authentication/SSO, and Email
    • Football Practice Facility Infrastructure and Systems
    • VoIP/PBX
    • Staff, Coach, and Player Computers and Hardware
  • Maintain inventory and licensing for hardware and software
  • Oversee and guide resolution of service desk escalations
  • Lead staff under aggressive timelines and high expectations
  • Maintain compliance with information security and privacy standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management or a combination of related education and experience may be considered
  • 10+ years of IT Operations experience
  • 5+ years IT management experience
  • Ability to analyze, design, and implement solutions utilizing current and context appropriate technologies
  • Strong team leadership and conflict resolution abilities
  • Strong project management skills
