IT Support Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The IT Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the helpdesk as well as providing logistical and technical support for the IT team. This position will provide day-to-day task management for the helpdesk staff, including event coverage and trouble ticket resolution to ensure that all end-user technology needs are strategically met. They will work closely with Manger of IT and the VP of Technology to ensure consistency across the organization. The ideal candidate for this position must have a strong technological aptitude, willingness to learn new technologies, and a customer service focused attitude and personality. This position requires creative and out of the box thinking to address user issues in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure that the helpdesk is providing consistent, timely and professional IT customer support to staff in-person or remotely by phone, email, or remote support tools per established policies, procedures, and service-level agreements
  • Coordinate and/or provide in-person or remote IT support for games, events, or other business functions
  • Monitor alerts from various security and infrastructure monitoring tools, and ensure those alerts are promptly addressed or escalated to the appropriate parties for resolution
  • Work closely with management to plan, budget, orchestrate, and manage the rollout new technology-related initiatives
  • Provide input and execute high-level project management for technology-related initiatives to ensure the projects run smoothly and all of the required tasks are completed on time
  • Update, test, and provide quality control for all IT-related processes, procedures, workflows, documentation, and tools
  • Maintain and follow all IT standards, procedures, and policies in regard to security and operational efficiencies and control
  • Works closely with the IT staff, business users, and 3rd party vendors to plan, purchase, and implement technology solutions
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within our industry


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the IT management to ensure all infrastructure is properly documented, updated, secured, maintained, and backed up
  • Establish, update, and implement end-user training curriculums for all technology or software that are provided to end-users
  • Provide IT support as needed to the organization to ensure smooth operation


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of and ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, phone systems, servers, wired and wireless networks, applications, and related hardware and software
  • Excellent social skills and the ability to patiently and consistently interact and communicate with people at all levels of the organization in a support and training role
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel both in writing and verbally
  • Accurate, efficient, and timely execution of tasks
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays in addition to regular business hours
  • Must hold a valid driver license, have a clean driving record, and have access to reliable transportation for the purpose of travel between various locations as required
  • College degree in related field, or minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience
  • Two to four years of working experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office 365, Active Directory, Windows, Mac, IOS and Android required
  • Fundamental understanding of basic enterprise networking required
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best-practices required
  • Working knowledge of professional or collegiate sports industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Powershell is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with GIT is strongly preferred


Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to a varying work environment, from a quiet office to a very busy and loud arena atmosphere including loud music, crowd noise, and flashing or strobing lights
