The Detroit Lions are on the hunt for a driven, detail-oriented, and football-passionate individual to join our team as a Team Operations Associate for the season! This position will support the coaching staff and team operations department with daily tasks pertaining, but not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • General Administration Coaching and Team Operations
  • Assist with day-to-day operations for the team
  • Assist with home and road game logistics
  • Assist with budgets on the road and with operations projects
  • Assist on sideline during home and road games and practice with defensive personnel
  • Assist coaches and equipment during practice
  • Primary manager of Teamworks system
  • iPad distribution and IT equipment to players
  • Manage player catapult accounts
  • Manage all schedule boards throughout building
  • Assist with Rookie Transition Program
  • Transportation/Shuttles
  • Practice scripts and shells for Head Coach and football support staff
  • Assist coaching staff with weekly projects
    • 1st/2nd/3rd down drawings for Secondary Coaches
    • Cadences
    • Self-Scout
    • Create cut-ups for Head Coach and Assistant Coaches
    • Head Coach gameday call sheet
  • Create weekly coaching game book binders and workbooks for the players
  • Manage coaching Lyft pass accounts
  • Assist in organizing and managing the coaches retreat
  • Assist personnel department with onboarding, offboarding, 30 visits, local pro day
  • Travel Directors Survey
  • Other duties as assigned/needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior collegiate or professional football department experience required
  • Bachelor’s (or greater) degree required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with all tasks
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to work 40+ hours a week
  • Ability to be discreet, trustworthy, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
  • Ability to develop working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends, with ability to travel
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required and will be verified
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher, etc.), Adobe Photoshop, and Catapult
