Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking high-energy, enthusiastic performers to represent the NY Mets as one of our beloved mascots. Ideal candidates are entertainers through and through, with a special focus on physical performance, and the ability to engage, improvise, and interact with fans of all ages. Mascots will attend various events both on and off-site, to promote the NY Mets and create a fun and dynamic experience at all their appearances.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Entertain audiences of all ages and abilities at various events. From game time at Citi Field, to large and small public and private events on and off-site.
Adherence to all appearance protocols ensuring that the mascot always looks their best at all appearances.
Be punctual for all appearances, ready to perform at all events on time.
Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Can-do attitude and ready to work together with mascot managers, fellow performers, and handlers to foster an ensemble atmosphere of collaboration.
Care for the mascot costume adhering to the care and maintenance guidelines for pre and post performance.
Attend all Mascot training sessions and rehearsals, upholding the highest standards of performance and professionalism.
Represent the NY Mets and Citi Field, upholding the image and values of the brand in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications:
Previous experiences in physical performance, athletics, or a similar role.
Excellent stamina and physical fitness.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability to work on short notice.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. The position involves significant movement and physical activity.

Pay Rate: $50.00 hourly
