Video Scout

Job Description:

Summary:

Seeking an individual to support the Amateur Scouting Department with video/data collection on amateur players for the draft. They will be expected to provide written reports based on the players they have seen.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Travel throughout the US to capture various types of videos on prospects in games, showcases, and workouts.
• Upload, edit, and categorize video clips daily.
• Conduct various athletic tests on prospects for the Rule 4 Draft.
• Collaborate with scouting personnel to optimize scheduling throughout various regions of the country.
• Communicate with players, parents, trainers, and coaches throughout the baseball industry.
• Evaluate players in the assigned territory and write reports on prospects in the upcoming draft.
• Assist in research projects and analyze pitcher and batter data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with baseball specific tech equipment and knowledge.
• Prior playing or knowledge in baseball/softball is a plus; but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holiday hours with willingness to adjust availability to the baseball schedule.
• Ability to travel domestically, and occasionally internationally, with multiple bags is required.
• Strong verbal communication and collaborative skills.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000
