The Corporate Partnerships Associate helps with all partner related activities including activation and execution of contractually obligated sponsorship elements. This position also aids in the sales/proposal and review/recap processes for the Corporate Partnerships Department. The role is responsible for assisting with sponsorship activation at all home games, events and other partnership marketing related activities.

This is a full-time internship working approximately 40 hours per week, along with all home games, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. The internship would begin in early July and will conclude at the end of the 2024/2025 season, with potential for extension into the post-season. This paid position is based at Ford Field with occasional trips to the Allen Park Training Facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):
The Corporate Partnerships Associate position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Assist with support of the sales and activation process, including creation of sponsorship proposals and activation materials.
  • Assist in creating graphics and visuals for social media posts and other digital assets.
  • Gather and prepare digital and social analytic reports for distribution at the conclusion of campaigns/events, and assist in the production of year-end partnership reviews
  • Work with production staff to actively capture real-time moments for partnership reporting in the form of videos and photos.
  • Coordinate with game-day photographer for the day’s shot list and maintain archive of game photos.
  • Work all Detroit Lions homes games, training camp and sponsor related events, where applicable.
  • Manage pre-game sideline access credential distribution process.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding contest winners and help facilitate prize delivery.
  • Assist in coordination of game day fulfillment including setting up Pride Plaza, Fan Caves, Fan Tunnel, Alumni Suite visits and in-stadium promotions (ex. rolling t-shirts, lucky rows, giveaways, trivia, etc.)

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands
  • Will keep appropriate information confidential

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Ability to work interdepartmentally as part of the greater Lions team
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
  • Understanding of primary social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, YouTube)
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to consistently present themselves with professionalism, poise and maturity
  • An energetic and self-motivated attitude
  • Comfortable speaking with professional athletes, coaches, and partners in a work setting
  • Demonstrates a commitment to seeing tasks through
  • Quickly and easily identifies problems and works diligently to provide solutions
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
  • Willingness to contribute in team brainstorm sessions with constructive thoughts and ideas
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule in order to be available for scheduled events, including nights, weekends and holidays
