POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ticket Systems Specialist will be one of the system administrators for the ticketing software and engage in event build, maintenance, execution and the financial ticket settlement of ticketed special events at Ford Field. As a member of the ticketing department, this role will also assist with the Detroit Lions ticketing software setup and will be a key contributor to the overall ticketing operation. This will include managing ticket inventory allocations, database coding and will be a key team member and occasional project lead on behalf of the ticketing technology and ticket operations team for third-party ticketing and third-party promoter communication for the ticketing software event build and ticket distribution plan for Ford Field Special Events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):

The Ticket Systems Specialist position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Assigned projects where you will be the lead and responsible for the project management of the third-party ticketing software manifest build, event creation, database coding and software support of the organizationā€™s ticketing software for special event ticketing.
  • Actively manage ticket inventory allocations and special offer creation on the ticketing software for targeted marketing promotions on the Ticketmaster (Host/Classic and Archtics) ticketing systems from inception through event reconciliation for events as assigned.
  • Assist the Manager of Ticketing Systems and Ticket Operations for AccountManager product development and assist as directed projects for AccountManager ticket offers and user communication.
  • Assist the Manager of Ticketing Systems and Ticket Operations with TM1 product tools and event staff Ticket Resolution customer service tools and training.
  • Project management lead with primary ticketing partners and third-party special event ticketing partners to ensure overall system programming and software performance expectations are met for Ford Field special events.
  • Support the daily financial ticketing reporting and reconciliation of special events as required and oversee ticket inventory management from special event ticket presales and public on sale through event settlement and financial reconciliation.
  • Actively monitor, report and analyze ticket sales trends on all special events throughout the ticket presale and on sale period.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining system administration and user guidelines for special events ticketing.
  • Establish an exceptional working relationship with third party event promoters, in-house special events team and all other internal departments.
  • Conduct training on new product features or optimal product usage with other users of the ticketing systems within the organization, including part time staff and interdepartmental training.
  • Assist Ticketing Systems & Ticket Technology leadership with additional event builds, staff training, and Ford Field ticketing communication as assigned by management.
  • Work with all representatives from Ticketmaster event support for special events.
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Department leadership, along with the entire special events team, to ensure exceptional internal and external service for all third party promoted events as directed by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelorā€™s Degree in Business, Communications, Sports Management or related field, or relevant professional working experience
  • A minimum of three years of ticketing system administration and ticket operations experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Ticketmaster products, including but not limited to Archtics, Ticketmaster Host, AccountManager, and TM1.
  • Strong ticket industry knowledge of an event lifespan, including but not limited to manifest creation, event builds, inventory management, and all relevant reporting.
  • Experience and knowledge working with concert tours and/or large scale events.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and at times in non-traditional settings, including ability to work a flexible event schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous supervisory and/or project management experience
  • Strong understanding of ticketing systems, database structures and the ticketing ecosystem
  • Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to learn new programs
  • Exceptional customer service and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
  • A high degree of technological competence and point of sale experience
  • Experience with additional ticket operations systems or relational database programs preferred
  • Previous ticketing experience with an entertainment venue or professional sports team preferred
  • May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Allen Park Training Facility
  • A valid Driverā€™s License and good driving record
