Job Title: Seasonal Fielder
Department: Ballpark Operations
Reports To: Head Groundskeeper
FLSA: Hourly Non-Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Toss with outfielders between innings if needed
Pay attention while game is actively being played to catch any foul balls down the lines
Collect bullpen pitchers coats and bring them to the appropriate dugout

Experience, Education and Licensure:

At least 16 years of age.
- Will require a State of Ohio work permit while in school if below the age of 18. Information about work permits can be obtained from the State of Ohio Department of Commerce.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to proficiently catch and throw a baseball.
Individual who is currently participating in organized baseball/softball is preferred

Expectations:

Availability to work 25% of the Reds home games which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays in a non-climate controlled environment that requires focus.
Work day consists of reporting for work one hour prior to the scheduled start of the baseball game and continuing until approximately thirty minutes following the conclusion of the game.
Will be provided a work scheduled in advance of a home stand.
Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization
Performs duties as workload necessitates
Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
Meet Department productivity standards

Please Note:

This is a seasonal position and no benefits will be provided
This position is outdoors and subject to weather conditions
This position will be paid on a bi-weekly basis and paycheck are deposited through direct deposit
Uniforms will be provided by the Reds
Ball Boys & Ball Girls will be responsible for providing their own glove and wear either red, white or black gym shoes
