THE POSITION

The Coordinator, Game Presentation will join our high energy staff and become a leader in the sports and entertainment industry. Reporting to the Manager, Game Presentation; the Coordinator, Game Presentation’s responsibilities will be primarily focused on all aspects of Calgary Flames game presentation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate the organization, production, and execution of all assets associated with Calgary Flames Game Presentation.
  • Write and produce all game scripts utilizing a digital scripting software;
  • Serve as Floor Director for all Calgary Flames home pre-season, regular season and playoff games;
  • Work with other departments (i.e. Broadcast/ Production, Sponsorship, Ticketing, Marketing and Community Relations) to help activate department objectives;
  • Aid in developing an entertaining game night experience for the hockey fans of Calgary and Southern Alberta;
  • Produce and support on Flames TV and Game Presentation video shoots and production elements;
  • Oversee game day staffing for Calgary Flames home games.
  • Available to work scheduled home games or events including evenings, weekends and holidays; as well as being available to support the various clubs under the CSEC banner;
  • Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices;
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, event management or related field;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive and supportive working relationships;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, be self-directed, work independently and handle creative direction/feedback;
  • Work well in a collaborative group environment, be a flexible and reliable team player (Both within own department and within company as a whole);
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, run, reach, kneel and lift;
  • Must have the ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed;
  • Strong knowledge of hockey;
  • Experience working in the entertainment industry is preferred.
