Position Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, solution-centric person with excellent communication skills and a desire to revolutionize how we use technology at the Seattle Kraken. The person in this position will be a part of the Service Desk and serve as the primary point of contact for all Seattle Kraken A/V needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide AV Support and maintenance for Kraken Community Iceplex including conference rooms, rinks, meeting rooms, 32 Bar and Grill, and related environments.
- Provide video/audio conference setup and support, ensuring all conference room systems are connected on time and receiving / transmitting good video and audio and always operating at an optimal level.
- Provide direct assistance and training to end users in the operation of AV systems.
- Troubleshoot the AV system and provide routine health checks to ensure operation.
- Work with vendors to address maintenance, improvements, and any related off-hour support/upgrades/maintenance.
- Coordinate and execute AV system installations, including but not limited to projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, LCD displays, and video conferencing equipment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within designated environments.
- Support all live events, including both client and internal events.
- Partner with the information technology and events management teams to plan and develop AV strategies for all on-site events.
- Coordinate vendors and outside technical support for events.
- Understand and leverage existing company infrastructure to provide solutions to the business and recommend new systems, when required.
- Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers & LCD displays.
- Troubleshoot hardware of the Crestron video conferencing equipment, diagnosing issues and providing solutions.
- Support corporate events when required (on-premise or off-site).
- Assist with Service Desk duties and other projects within the IT department.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent Technical knowledge of web conferencing solutions and AV & VC equipment Crestron, Cisco, Meraki, and innovative brands with an up-to-date understanding of the AV marketplace including products and trends.
- Strong understanding of BSS, Dante, and related systems.
- Strong understanding of supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom and related conference room technologies.
- Excellent customer service focus and client communication skills. This includes a heightened sense of customer focus at all times to include the AV team as well as internal and external clients.
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver innovative AV solutions for fans, customers, and staff.
- Flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule and/or business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task on multiple projects.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Essential and Desirable Skills:
- Good understanding of IT and networks as well as Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Cisco experience, and other industry and manufacturer certifications or training are desirable and not essential.
- Working knowledge of video board systems and related technology e.g. Daktronics is desirable and not essential.
- Experience in using IPTV systems is desirable and not essential.
- Knowledge of broadcast systems and software or similar software is desirable and not essential.

- Compensation:
- In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected hourly rate for this position is $31-$33/hr. The full range for this position is $31- 35/hr. Actual base pay will depend on employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays required.
- Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
- This position may require the individual to have access to confidential records and information. To successfully perform this position, confidentiality of the information with which the individual has contact must be maintained.
- Frequent bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
- This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
