Team Overview:

The marketing team sits at the heart of the organization and is responsible for every fan-facing communication that happens outside of the arena. From ticket sales to community engagement to paid advertising to events, the marketing team concepts, plans, executes, and measures each campaign to ensure brand and fan health.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Season Planning Documentation – build files, templates, budgets, calendars and other organizational assets to assist in tracking and planning.
  • Event Support – assist in planning and executing fan development events such as development camp, training camp, community events, etc.
  • Media promotions - assist in ideation and execution of content and asset development across earned, owned (web, social, email), and paid media marketing plans.
  • Research and Planning – assist in the creation of an extended fan engagement network that includes K-12 and Higher Education engagement, building fan and organizational relationships amongst non-traditional hockey communities, and developing regional engagement opportunities across the state of Washington.
  • Support the team with other initiatives and programs as needed.

What You Will Learn:

As a member of the marketing team, you will get a full view into the complete organization, supporting all aspects of the business. You will develop a strategic mindset while working cross-functionally and in a variety of capacities. As a lean team, you will wear many hats and no two days will be the same, which teaches you how to live in the grey, a sense of nimbleness and the ability to assess and problem solve swiftly. These are critical skills for any future role.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well within a team environment, yet comfortable completing tasks independently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to be creative within a structured environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.

Compensation & Perks:

  • In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for the position is $20-$22/hr. Actual base pay will depend on the employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
  • Must have transportation to and from events.
