Team Overview:

Our Seattle Kraken Entertainment Experience and Production team (SKEEP) creates memories for fans inside and outside Climate Pledge Arena by bringing the Kraken brand to life. Team SKEEP is responsible for creating the fan experience at Climate Pledge Arena and providing creative service to the rest of the Seattle Kraken team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Entertainment Experience Interns can observe and gain hands-on experience with video and live production events, such as Kraken Draft Day parties, Rookie Camp live streams, and Kraken Media Day.
  • They will support our Digital Asset Management program by uploading and tagging past season’s content into the DAM.
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions with the in-game group for the upcoming season.
  • Provide assistance and support to the team with other initiatives and programs as needed.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, yet comfortable completing tasks independently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to be creative within a structured environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, and quick learner.
  • A high degree of personal integrity.
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.

Qualifications:

  • Recent college grads or students currently enrolled in junior or senior level courses.
  • College coursework that includes communication, broadcasting or Library and Information Science line of study.
  • Team player with a desire to learn!
  • Passionate about pro and collegiate regional sports teams, particularly the Seattle Kraken.
  • An organized and self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills and a strong sense of goal-setting.
  • Professional demeanor and communication.
  • Utilizes proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling in written communication.
  • Ability to take instructions and work independently.
  • Willing to work during and outside regular business hours, with a varying weekly schedule; Schedule can be based on chosen applicants' availability during April – September months.
  • Available to work +/- 20 hours per week.

Compensation & Perks:

  • In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for the position is $20-$22/hr. Actual base pay will depend on the employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and at times at Climate Pledge Arena. Requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow, and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs
