Manager, Partnership Marketing

SUMMARY
This position will work closely with the Sr. Director and Vice President, Partnership Marketing CA and be responsible for supporting day-to-day management of League Corporate Partners in Canada.

Leverage League assets to develop and execute fully integrated Partner/NHL campaigns to deliver against brand objectives and achieve business results.

The ideal candidate will identify strategic opportunities to align Partner programming with League initiatives and enhance the third-party reach of Partners. Delivering high-end client service, the candidate will provide solutions-oriented feedback to foster the Partner relationship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the "Engagement Manager" for current and new Corporate Marketing Partners, facilitating connections between Partners and various departments within the NHL including PR, Social Impact, Growth and Legislative affairs (SGL), Events, Integrated Sales, Marketing, Consumer Products and Legal to develop and execute fully integrated sponsorship activations plans.

Ensure fulfillment of all contractual obligations, utilize research insights to elevate programming and pro-actively identify new opportunities to enhance the Partner's association with the NHL, while assisting in increasing League revenue.

Provide day-to-day direction to partners, developing short and long-term plans, overseeing project management from concept to promotion implementation and evaluation.

Work closely with Partners to plan, develop and execute national and on-site activation plans for NHL Jewel Events (2025 NHL 4 Nations Face-Off, Kraft Hockeyville, Stanley Cup Playoffs/Final, NHL Draft, NHL Awards and NHL Global Series).

Collaborate with Partners, internal digital teams, and media agencies to create strategic media plans via NHL Controlled Digital Channels.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a pro-active, organized, adaptable, self-motivated individual with the ability to effectively project manage multiple tasks and establish daily work priorities in a high energy atmosphere. Candidates must have experience with (i) interacting with a variety of disciplines and levels within an organization, (ii) developing, presenting, and executing successful community-based programs for Partners, (iii) managing a variety of tasks/projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated passion for hockey and the sponsorship industry as a whole. Strong attention to detail, values being a good teammate, ability to multi-task effectively, with a proven and demonstrable track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.

Digital literacy, including related to social media, presentation software tools, tracking documents, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Strong critical thinking skills, decision-making capacity, problem-solving abilities, and consensus building skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingualism (French) is an asset.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of post-secondary education with at least an undergraduate degree in business/marketing or related field is required.

A minimum of six (6) plus years marketing experience in partnership marketing, brand marketing and/or event marketing with a brand, property or agency with direct experience managing the development and execution of programs that leverage a professional sports property.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (US).
