Retail Marketing Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

The Role


We are looking for a Retail Marketing Manager to play an integral strategic and executional role within our Marketing team. This is a fast-paced dynamic position that will drive the creation and delivery of our club’s retail marketing strategy.

You'll be entrusted with a leadership position with responsibility and ownership for product launch campaigns and joint retail brand initiatives with our key retail-focused commercial partners.

Your day-to-day


  • Develop and execute our retail marketing strategy - you'll create and implement our innovative retail marketing strategy to deliver against our ambitious annual growth targets
  • Collaborate with key colleagues across marketing and retail - you will proudly partner with and influence our wider marketing and retail teams to ensure our brand is showing up consistently across the online and store eco-system
  • Lead on all retail marketing executions - you'll play a pivotal role in all end-to-end retail marketing executions (owned, operated, paid and earned media) to drive online and in-store product sales
  • Plan and execute our kit launches - you will be entrusted to take the lead on the planning and execution of all Adidas kit launches each season
  • Build and maintain winning partnerships - you'll take pride in being the lead marketing contact for our key retail-focused partners and in supporting on joint brand initiatives
  • Identify exciting commercial opportunities - you will collaborate with stakeholders to shape our annual retail calendar to include product launches and highlight peak commercial and brand moments and opportunities
  • Act as an ambassador for our club - you'll develop a deep understanding of our supporters and ensure we're always innovating across our match-day and non-match-day experiences
  • Inspire and lead direct reports - you will courageously manage our Senior Retail Marketing Executive and Retail Marketing Executive
  • Provide key insight and analysis - you'll ensure the timely and accurate reporting of key retail marketing campaigns leveraging data and insights

  • Proven background in retail marketing - you possess extensive retail marketing experience within an industry leading, consumer-led brand
  • Data-first mindset - you come with demonstrable experience in leveraging data and insights to execute both long-term and nimble marketing plans that strengthen supporter relationships and drive commercial growth
  • Track record of collaborating with creative stakeholders - you're adept at managing relationships with external agencies as well as internal creative teams
  • Proactive mindset and a strong team ethnic - you thrive when you're partnering with colleagues and you're always looking for new commercial and creative opportunities
  • Exceptional communicator - you're able to communicate in an effective manner and you build and maintain impactful relationships with colleagues
  • Best-in-class organisational skills - you pride yourself on your excellent organisational skills and you're able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently
  • Ambitious approach - you're a go-getter who has the drive and desire to move our club forward - always looking for new opportunities to innovate and inspire
