The Role


We are looking for a Digital Activation Executive who will play a key role in our ambitious personalisation journey from delivering on a campaign by campaign basis, to building personalised journeys for our valued supporters.

This shift will be insight led and anchored in our new approach to supporter segmentation, aiming to maximise engagement with our club and deliver best in class experiences across our digital campaign channels.

Your day-to-day


  • Support omni-channel campaign planning - you will collaborate with colleagues on the campaign calendar across all digital campaigns (email, SMS, push, web and app), working closely with the Editorial and Comms team to align on all club messaging
  • Execute campaigns and map out supporter journeys - you'll proudly help with audience selection, A/B testing and proofing and reporting, and you'll map out and execute supporter journeys across multiple channels
  • Act as a primary user of MarTech platforms - you'll operate as one of the primary day-to-day users, and subject matter experts, of our MarTech platforms, including email service provider, customer data platform, push notification provider and ad manager to execute omni-channel campaigns
  • Maximise data - you will fully understand the make up of our customer data and identify which data elements are required to deliver effective omni-channel marketing campaigns
  • Database management - you will effectively support the team to ensure we have the correct data flows within our digital estate to include testing and troubleshooting
  • Drive innovation - you'll be a core part of the team that drives the transition from a traditional campaign model to an insight driven journey-based approach, as part of a wider personalisation strategy
  • Enhance supporter engagement - you will champion our supporter segmentation, and work alongside key members of the Marketing team to ensure that our digital campaigns are tailored to our audience
  • Work collaboratively with wider teams - you'll work with wider Marketing and Commercial teams, to ensure campaigns are delivered against key business objectives
  • Manage internal stakeholders - you will manage campaign stakeholders’ expectations across the end-to-end process, understanding business needs and advising where necessary the best course of action in achieving campaign objectives

What we are looking for


  • Background in digital marketing - you come with experience and a good understanding of CRM and digital marketing
  • Experience with CRM systems - you've got an understanding of CRM technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce
  • MarTech platform proficiency - you're familiar with one or more of the following platforms: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cheetah Digital, Braze, Dot Digital, Twillo, Bloomreach, mParticle, Airship, SWRVE, InCrowd
  • Data-first mindset - you're intrigued by data and the opportunities for innovative data analysis and insights
  • Proactive communicator and teamplayer - you are able to clearly communicate with colleagues and build and maintain impactful relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail - you're equipped with precise and effective customer communication skills and a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Sound grasp of critical regulations - you've got a solid understanding of general data protection and regulation (GDPR) principles
