Supervisor, Transportation & Medical Services

Job Description:

Summary:

The Supervisor will report to the Manager of Transportation & Medical Services. They will support the parking operation and emergency medical services for all Baseball, Mets Events Commuter, USTA and Flushing Meadows Parks events. The ideal candidate will have experience working independently over large areas and multiple locations with excellent communication skills, cool head under pressure and troubleshooting and promptly addressing operational issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure medical personnel communicate with the NY Mets and visiting team staff, Command Post and other points of contact of the beginning of game days or special events and are at their posts at designated times

Ensure all medical personnel complete necessary MLB insurance forms and NY Mets documentation for medical incidents and delivery of documentation to security intern, including hold harmless forms for walk in incidents at first aid, and medical paperwork for the AWARE system for all baseball and all special events

Monitor the batteries, scheduled service and upkeep of all fixed and portable AEDs for Citi Field executive offices and Sterling Equities. Perform monthly inspections of units

Point of contact for issues with first aid stations not overseen by medical provider (A/C, heat, plumbing, etc.), noting if repairs/damages need attention by ballpark operations or other departments

Request and confirm appointments for monthly x-ray room physicist, oversee monthly inspections and report issues from technicians and keep x-ray room log reporting up-to-date

Ensure that medical golf cart is in proper working order and moved into position prior to BP and stored properly after game or special events.

Act as a point of contact for any guest concerns regarding the medical areas or medical personnel, and for medical provider for all baseball, soft (small scale) Mets Events and US Open

Review EMS provider invoices for baseball and Mets Events

Prepare, distribute and maintain Citi Field parking emergency response plan information and binders for the National Safety Act for pre-season approval

Submit schedule for parking supervisors to properly cover all baseball and Mets Events

Assist in monitoring parking provider staff to ensure proper handling of revenue and compliance with guest service policies

Assist in preparing staffing, shuttles and traffic flow plans for baseball, special events and commuter operation conflict days (ie: Circo Vasquez, Concerts and US Open Tennis) and maintaining safety and customer satisfaction in parking areas during ingress fill” and egress spill

Report issues with equipment, grounds, fences, potholes, electric and water to management to address by performing daily drives through lots

Point of contact for vendors upon arrival for pre-season equipment deliveries, post-season equipment pick-ups, and servicing and/or repairs of same equipment through the baseball and event season

Ensure all parking, parking partner and medical partner staff attend the NY Mets guest service trainings, submit photos and requests for security approvals for visitors, IDs and proxies

Distribute and maintain inventory counts for uniforms for all parking personnel

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must possess leadership skills, substantial internal motivation and outstanding judgment

· Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication skills required

· Due to nature of baseball/MH events, work a flexible and non-conventional schedule requiring weekend and evening hours

Education and/or Experience:

· 2 years of supervisor experience (parking lot or large venue/facility ideal)

Computer Skills:

· Working knowledge of MS Office software, with a strong emphasis on Excel preferred
