Summary:
The newly formed Senior Director of Insights plays a pivotal role at The Mets by embedding themselves within the ticketing and marketing business units, fostering collaboration, and harnessing the full potential of the Mets ecosystem to unearth new opportunities. In this integrated role, they serve as the bridge between data and actionable insights, connecting the dots to drive efficiency and revenue growth. By immersing themselves in these units, the Senior Director will identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas where data-driven insights can make a significant impact. This embedded approach ensures that insights are not just generated in isolation but are seamlessly integrated into daily operations, enhancing decision-making and business outcomes. The Senior Director will cast a wide net. They will work with data originating from our ecosystem, but also explore third-party data sources, competitive intelligence, and any other relevant data streams. By doing so, they will provide a comprehensive view of the market landscape, uncovering hidden gems and unique opportunities that might otherwise go unnoticed. The Senior Director is also expected to anticipate future needs within the ticketing and marketing business units. They will proactively develop a roadmap for insights capabilities, ensuring that the organization stays ahead of the curve. This forward-thinking approach will position the Mets to leverage data, analytics, and emerging technologies in a highly progressive way throughout the business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leverage data and data structures to identify high-value opportunities for efficiency and revenue generation
Distill complex data into actionable insights and effectively communicate them to various business units, particularly in ticketing and marketing
Manage a team of full-time employees, consultants, and/or partners to support the execution of data-driven projects
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the live entertainment business ticketing, inside sales, and performance marketing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively managing programs to achieve business goals
Work tangentially with stakeholders and business intelligence partners to ensure alignment and deliver actionable insights
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data-driven marketing, or a related field
5+ years in managing a team
Strong technical knowledge of data and data structures
Business acumen with the ability to drive value from data
Knowledge of live entertainment ticketing, inside sales, and performance marketing
Experience or knowledge of other industries is highly valued
Proven program management, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Education and/or Experience:
Educational background in a quantitative field preferred (Mathematics, Economics, Comp. Sci)
MBA a plus
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis
Expertise in Tableau for data visualization
Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis

Salary Range:
$152,897.06 - $203,862.75
