About the Florida Panthers Foundation:
The Florida Panthers Foundation serves as the team's main charitable beneficiary. Re-introduced in the middle of the 2013-14 season under the ownership of Mr. Vincent Viola and Mr. Doug Cifu, the vision of the Florida Panthers Foundation is to make a positive philanthropic impact on the South Florida community and beyond. Through partnerships, grants, and community programs, the Foundation will focus on four priorities, including youth hockey, children and youth, veterans and the endangered Florida panther. The Panthers Foundation raises money through various fundraisers and in-game initiatives, including the 50/50 Raffle, jersey and memorabilia auctions, merchandise sales, outside events and other opportunities to engage fans in support of the Foundation. Through the Foundation, the Florida Panthers looks to support exemplary South Florida nonprofit organizations that help make a positive impact in the local community.

Job Summary:
The Florida Panthers Foundation Coordinator will oversee major Foundation fundraising initiatives including the 50/50 Raffle, online auctions, merchandise sales and special events. The ideal candidate for this role has in-game fundraising and event experience who can also bring fresh and innovative ideas to help the Foundation generate revenue throughout the season. This person is a motivated, driven individual and is eager to help give back to the South Florida community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the 50/50 raffle program at all Florida Panthers home games- including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Manage and grow the 50/50 Raffle by providing analytical data regarding sales trends, staff achievements and reports
  • Hire, assist, train and manage the day-to-day of all 50/50 raffle sellers
  • Aid in Florida Panthers Foundation game-night activations, including in-game fundraisers, Foundation Table, post-game, etc.
  • Keep inventory of 50/50 supplies (raffle paper, signage, promotional initiatives, etc.), auction and merchandise (signed memorabilia) and communicate any needs in a timely manner
  • Plan and execute monthly initiatives for all online silent auctions and merchandise sales through GiveSmart platform
  • Communicate and distribute all GiveSmart auction and merchandise items to customers
  • Assist with the planning and executing of all Florida Panthers Foundation annual fundraising events including Cats Classic Golf Tournament, Pucks & Pints Beerfest, Stache Dash 5K, Cats & Cocktails gala (i.e. securing silent auction items, working with third party vendors, day-of logistics, scheduling staff, etc.)
  • Assist in the creation of strategy, process of implementation, building partnerships and content creation for charitable giving
  • Additional projects tasks and events assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, sports administration, sales, nonprofit management or other related field; 1-3 years of relevant work experience in community relations, foundation, or non-profit work.
  • Interested individuals must possess superior organizational skills, be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting, have exceptional time management abilities, and work well on a team.
  • Ability to effectively communication with other departments and vendors
  • Ability to set-up/push heavy kiosk(s) and walk the Concourse in a timely manner throughout the entire game shift
  • Experience overseeing and managing a team of individuals
  • Show the utmost professionalism when working with athletes, alumni and other VIPs
  • Applicant should be able to maintain a productive working relationship with employees, clients, patrons and community contacts.
  • Must be able to work select weekend, evening, and holiday events. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds, as well as stand for a prolonged period.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Previous managerial experience is preferred.
  • HOURS REQUIRED: 40 hours, Weekend and Night Games
  • Knowledge of executing a 50/50 Raffle and using GiveSmart is a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt (salary) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
