Position Summary
The Broadcast Graphics Director will have oversight of all graphics development and integration of NBA produced live and recorded content. This includes maintaining and continuing vendor relationships, graphics creation rollout and support, the management and implementation of broadcast graphics operations standards, workflow efficiencies, and integration of new technologies in support of new and existing productions. In this role, the Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the virtual signage ecosystem across the entire delivery system, and the processes created for its delivery. The candidate will work to ensure that all virtual signage is delivered with the highest degree of precision and integrity. In addition to the virtual signage oversight, the candidate will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the graphics department, while also providing coverage as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate will be highly organized to ensure that departmental procedures and workflows operate as efficiently as possible. This person must also fully understand signal flow and escalation & notification processes. This position requires being available beyond the normal business hours, in order to be able to make real-time decisions, when necessary, and often at a moments notice. Candidate must have a proactive approach and be one who is also able to handle changes as they occur, and address as necessary. This position also requires the ability to be a forward thinker, while continuing to oversee the duties of improving all workflow efficiencies. Strong leadership qualities are required. A successful candidate in this role should be able to confidently and effectively work to prioritize all business needs. The Director will be responsible for a wide range of decision making, and will have continuous interaction with Executive Management.
This role requires an on-site presence for at least four days per week, as well as the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Occasional travel is also required.
