Senior Foundation Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The Dallas Stars Foundation Senior Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the Dallas Stars Foundation. This position will assist with the organization of Dallas Stars outreach efforts in the community and support the planning and execution of all fundraising activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with planning and executing all Dallas Stars Foundation Fundraisers - Casino Night, Hall of Fame Gala, and Drive Fore the Kids Golf Tournament
  • Manages and fulfills all incoming and outgoing in-kind donation requests
  • Assist in the execution of large community events and community relations outreach efforts including but not limited to player visits, Community Enhancement projects, etc.
  • Manage and grow the Dallas Stars Community Tickets Program
  • Assist with NHL Awareness Initiatives, including Hockey Fights Cancer, Military Night, Black History, Hispanic Heritage, and Pride
  • Aid in Dallas Stars Foundation game-night activations, including in-game fundraisers, post-game, etc.
  • Assist with team autograph signings and set up
  • Grow and expand Community Relations initiatives and programs with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to four years of experience in community relations, foundation, or non-profit work
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other departments and vendors
  • Ability to interact, establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM.
  • Excellent knowledge of the community and have passion for helping others
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong passion for and commitment to DSF’s mission, programs, and values
  • Event management in the sports & entertainment industry or nonprofit strongly preferred


Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
