The Dallas Stars are seeking an analyst to join our growing Business Strategy and Analytics department. The Partnerships and Marketing Insights Analyst will support initiatives in the Marketing and Corporate Partnerships departments. We are looking for someone with experience in these areas to innovate our processes and further encourage data-driven decision making. The position will have a direct hand in helping influence Dallas Stars’ ability to organize, analyze, and act on current and future data to keep the business on the forefront. The Partnerships and Marketing Insights Analyst will own fan insights and develop strategies to enhance our knowledge of our fan base and database. This knowledge will enhance our ability to deliver value and information to current and prospective partners and create personalized messaging to our fans through our marketing channels. This position sits in the BS&A department but participates as a member of the Partnerships and Marketing teams as well.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work as embedded members of the marketing and corporate partnership departments to facilitate alignment and identify areas for collaboration
  • Conduct market research to develop customer segments to inform marketing and partnership strategy using both first and third-party data
  • Build and present data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for use in Corporate Partnership pitches as well as internal research and presentations
  • Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns by identifying key performance metrics and tracking how they change over time
  • Create and assist in the creation of specific pitches and assets for new / existing partners
  • Collaborate on the creation of wholistic partnership recaps demonstrating value of partnership to clients on a regular basis
  • Utilize existing syndicated research tools and first-party data to identify partnership opportunities and evaluate the effectiveness of our existing partnerships
  • Develop bespoke customer journeys and automations, using our current email and marketing automation tool Eloqua, to take a fan from initial interest to dedicated supporter
  • Create an internal “Fan Insights Hub” with live data so we know how to better target our fans with marketing or partnership messaging


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Analyze paid & organic social performance and develop detailed reporting on our social media base
  • Evaluate partnership assets and rate cards to identify areas of optimization as well as identify areas for new inventory
  • Assist in inputting, maintaining, and extracting relevant sponsorship data in the team’s sponsorship CRM system
  • Aid in Business Strategy & Analytics needs in other departments such as Ticketing, Finance, and others
  • Conduct independent research on specific business topics and emerging technological areas
  • Evaluate current technological infrastructure and identify areas where technology could be enhanced, added, or replaced to create efficiencies


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years experience in marketing, corporate partnerships, or related business strategy and analytics position
  • Experience working with sports teams a strong preference
  • Experience with email and marketing automation tools (Eloqua [Preferred], Marketo, SFMC)
  • Experience with market survey tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
  • Familiarity with CRM (Dynamics365, Salesforce, KORE)
  • Familiarity with syndicated research tools (YouGov, Nielson, MVPIndex)
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads)
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts (SEM, SEO, CTR, ROI)


Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
