The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities Manager to coordinate the operations and activities of the Facilities Department including maintenance, repairs, inspections, safety, security, housekeeping, vendor relations, special projects, and events.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to Facilities inquiries, requests, and complaints, assess problems and take the necessary corrective actions.
  • Complete necessary repairs, maintenance, and inspections for the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Enters work orders into the CMMS and completes and documents assigned work orders, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
  • Remain knowledgeable regarding all operational aspects of building systems. Follow protocol for effective maintenance, security and safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Identifies and advises management of emergency and safety related requests or concerns.
  • Assist Facilities staff in locating, ordering, and inventory of parts, supplies, and materials.
  • Plan, manage and guide contracted services to meet operational goals, objectives, and organizational needs.
  • Coordinate with other departments, personnel, and vendors to request service, resolve problems, train on equipment or procedures, and implement new and effective policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Facilities Department in inter-departmental meetings to support and facilitate communication and action between departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure quality standards are excellent.
  • Provide backup assistance to front office reception and housekeeping.
  • Assist in projects which require short to long range planning, needs assessment and coordination of various departments, staff, and outside groups. Assemble and direct the resources necessary to achieve goals set by administrators.
  • Perform other functions and activities as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree; college degree or previous experience preferred.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for an extended period.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Able to work well within a team environment, leading and supporting team members whenever necessary.
  • Ability to plan, manage time, and prioritize effectively.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
