Event Day Technician
The Dallas Cowboys Technology department is looking for a passionate individual who has the desire to gain experience in the Technology profession. If you are eager to learn and enjoy a dynamic work environment, this role provides the opportunity for on-the-job training in network, telecommunications, and IT support. You will play an essential role in the production of our hosted events (primarily based at AT&T Stadium) by assisting the Technology staff with technical deployments.
The Event Day Technician will report to the IT Event Coordinator. This is a part-time, event-based support role providing support to NFL and Collegiate football games, concerts, and other events at both AT&T Stadium and The Star/Ford Center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Technology team in support of other departments and clients to setup, configure & deploy network infrastructure and telecommunications hardware for events
- Install and terminate low voltage cabling (CAT 5, CAT 6, RJ-45 Keystones, and Fiber Optics)
- Monitor and support deployments (Network, Ethernet, AP, and DMP) during events
- Perform basic troubleshooting (network connectivity, media player issues, tv issues) of deployments during events
- Deployment breakdown after events
Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with computers; experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Cisco applications is a plus
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, cabling, and hardware
- CompTIA A+ certification and/or CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus
- Detail-oriented and organized; analytical, structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; a desire to work with people
- Strong writing skills and a desire to diligently document common processes and procedures
- Strong directional awareness skills to navigate multiple unique facilities
- Committed to going “above and beyond” to serve the client and event guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects/priorities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and handle physically challenging tasks
- Ability to spend many hours walking or standing
- Ability to travel for work (as needed between AT&T Stadium and The Star/Ford Center)
- Availability to work M-F as needed for deployments with the flexibility to work events on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Assist with IT projects as needed
