The Cleveland Charge is seeking a dedicated and experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our team here in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance training, sports science, and developing strong interpersonal relationships.


  • Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for all athletes.
  • Monitor and assess athletes' performance and progress.
  • Design personalized training plans to enhance strength, speed, agility, and endurance.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate training programs with team strategies.
  • Assist Cavaliers with all off-season and pre-season activities.
  • Collaborate with Cavaliers performance staff on all two-way and assignment player training.
  • Provide education on proper nutrition, recovery techniques, and injury prevention.
  • Maintain and manage the strength and conditioning facilities and equipment.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and trends in sports science and conditioning.
  • Collaborate with team sports medicine personnel.
  • Manage team catering operations with support from the team dietician.


  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized organization such as NSCA (CSCS), ASCA, or UKSCA is required in order to be considered.
  • Minimum 2+ years of proven experience leading teams as a strength and conditioning coach, preferably at a professional or collegiate level.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and Holidays.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight to various locations.
  • Strong understanding of sports performance training, biomechanics, and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.


  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with basketball athletes specifically.
  • Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC).
  • Additional certifications in specialized training techniques or methods.
