JOB SUMMARY:

Underdirectionofthe Dance, Entertainment & Events Manager,the ‘2024-25 Seasonal Assistant, Dance & Entertainment’will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing content, while assisting the Dance & Entertainment Team with daily needs. This individual should be a self-starter, team player, and passionate about the city of Cleveland and entertainment. Seeking a creative individual dedicated to bringing the Cavaliers Entertainment Team's digital platforms to new levels.

*** This is a temporary position from September 2024 - June 2025, that will work onsite at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse approx. 40 hours per week.

PAY RATE: $15.00/HR START DATE: September 9th, 2024

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative and Administrative Support to Entertainment Team Coaches -

  • Works directly with coach of each entertainment team on vision and needs. Assists with daily communication from part-time coaching staff and full-time dance and entertainment staff.
  • Covers as point of contact for all teams when needed. This includes practice, Cleveland Cavaliers, Monsters, and Charge games, appearances, youth clinics, and any additional events that need management.
  • Supports dance and entertainment management with coordinating and executing signature events. This includes audition recruitment events, auditions, photo-shoots, video-shoots, youth-sports clinics, and special appearances.

Content Execution -

  • Runs all social media accounts including creation, management, and distribution of content.
  • Content Capture: assist with photography and design of creative elements for teams.
  • Archive and organize all photography and videography.
  • Ideate and execute new content on website and social platforms.
  • Monthly photo and video shoots: plan logistics, assist in on-set styling & scheduling, collaborate with Director on ideas, capture behind the scenes content, and post & organize photos to coincide with social calendar.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University (or currently pursuing a BS Degree).
  • Entry level photography and camera operation knowledge.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays and events as assigned.
  • Must have valid driver's license and car for transportation to off-site events.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be organized, highly motivated, and team oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
