Chicago Fire Football Club is a Major League Soccer team that was founded in 1997. The Club returned to Soldier Field as well as opened a new 50,000 square foot business office in the heart of the city. With tremendous growth and expansion, the Club is laying the foundation for an ambitious vision that will transform the Club in the coming years.

Position Overview:

Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a highly motivated ticket sales coordinator with a focus on group sales to join our team! The Group Sales Coordinator will report to the Director of Group Sales and will work alongside the Ticket Sales leadership team to support the ticket sales department. This role will work collaboratively with all ticketing departments to hit organizational goals and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow and implement all sales programs across the Ticket Sales departments
  • Assist department leadership in executing comprehensive ticket sales campaigns to drive revenue that meet annual and long-term goals
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of match day elements such as Fan Experience Packages (FEPs), match day presentations, prospecting events, and more
  • Assist with the scheduling of staff responsibilities for off-site events, sales initiatives, and match day logistics
  • Consistently update department schedules, documents, and collateral
  • Accurately track and record all group sale items, ensuring all inventory is up-to-date and readily available
  • Build and maintain relationships with youth sports in the Chicagoland area
  • Lead the planning of department team-building exercises, sales contests, conferences, and travel. accommodations, along with assisting in the tracking of department expenses
  • Work with various personnel and departments (marketing, operations, accounting, box office, etc.) to ensure proper execution of programs
  • Create fliers and collateral materials to support the group sales team outreach
  • Ensure all necessary materials and merchandise are secured and prepared in advance for match days. This includes coordinating with relevant departments to confirm quantities and specifications.
  • On non-match days, organize and prepare sales tables, ensuring all items are displayed effectively and restocked as needed. Manage the logistical aspects of transporting items to and from sales locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify autographed items and identify discrepancies. Implement corrective actions to address any inconsistencies
  • Other duties as assigned by members of the ticket sales and service leadership team

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a ticket sales coordinator position
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to meet firm deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner, often under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously and use excellent judgment in escalating issues to supervisors
  • Willingness to learn ticket sales techniques and ticket operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and think on the fly
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college university
  • Experience working with group sales
