JOB TITLE: Academy Goalkeeping Coach (Part Time)

LOCATION: Cobham

DEPARTMENT: Academy
CONTRACT: 22 hours working across any 7 days

Job Function;

The role of the Academy Goalkeeper Coach is to deliver the Academy Goalkeeping Identity effectively to help the Chelsea Academy players reach their full potential both on and off the field. This is achieved by working closely with Head of Academy Goalkeeping, Assistant Head of Academy and U9-16 Lead Goalkeeping coach. Also, to provide support to the Part Time Goalkeeper Coaching staff to deliver the Goalkeeping Identity and 3-1-1 model from u9-21s.

Snapshot of Responsibilities include;

  • Consider individual needs, team tactical objectives and principles of play, physical intensity, individual needs (IAPs) and the mental state of players as the main priorities of the coaching framework.
  • Support the U12-14 Goalkeepers through the day release program
  • Following every match, ensure all players are rated/scored by attending a coaches and management meeting to discuss performance.
  • Support recruitment department with trips to watch potential signings or trial players, and by writing reports and flagging any opposing players that could be of interest.

What we are looking for

  • Ideally working towards UEFA GK B Licence/ Level 3. #
  • FA Safeguarding in Football qualification
  • Experience within the relevant age groups in an Academy environment.
  • IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and video analysis)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to support Player, Parent and Staff relationships.
