JOB TITLE: Adult Enterprise, Senior Pathways Officer

JOB FUNCTION: To be responsible for the design, delivery and monitoring of provision for adult learners, focusing on business, enterprise and entrepreneurship education. Supporting beneficiaries and delivering various programmes across the work strand including our monthly Edge of the Box Club for entrepreneurs and business start-ups, Enterprise and Entrepreneur Incubators, whilst working with relevant agencies to identify participants. The post holder will work closely with the Skills and Learning Manager and Head of Education and Innovation to identify opportunities to grow and develop provision locally.

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge and Cobham

CONTRACT: Permanent Contract, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

  • Oversee and implement the strategic and operational delivery of the Adult Enterprise Programme.
  • Deliver and co-ordinate a variety of established programmes to inspire post 19 participants, including the creation of resources and promotional materials.
  • Create a network of business partners to support with developing and delivering provision for adults through entrepreneur programmes and enterprise opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Skills & Learning Manager, and other Foundation staff members who have a responsibility to grow provision in targeted boroughs on a range of Foundation initiatives.
  • Communicate and engage with a target number of business partners in the targeted area.
  • Establish strong and lasting relationships with key partners including businesses, job centres, education providers, local authorities and wider groups for the benefit of all programmes, ensuring that the programme meets the local need.
  • Attend Local Strategic Partnership Meetings to raise awareness of our local provision, alongside network to enhance new funding and delivery opportunities.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and activities, including outreach, stadium based, and Cobham training ground-based sessions.
  • To actively source funding for Education and Innovation activities as part of the Pathways strand.
  • Undertake any Foundation activities that may be required in addition to the role.

  • To demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and provide support to others to develop their own knowledge of Education provision for adults and in business.
  • To have established networks in the business community to support with education opportunities for adults.
  • To be responsible for collating and inputting all relevant monitoring and evaluation (M&E) information for each project delivered for relevant funders and reporting purposes.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including businesses, schools, colleges, job centres and the other relevant commercial partners.
  • To source and successfully apply for funding for Pathways Provision.
  • To complete and submit project reports at 6-month intervals, or as and when required in accordance with the needs of each funder.
  • To attend regular team and organisation meetings reporting key performance achievements/areas for improvement.
  • To demonstrate the ability to drive and innovate new and existing opportunities individually and as part of a dynamic team.
  • To demonstrate the ability to work in a confident and flexible manner, and understand the importance of private and confidential material
  • To ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff.

PROUD TO BE CHELSEA (Person Specification):

Qualifications:

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry sector.
  • A varied range of education and or business training.

Desirable

  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates

Experience:

Essential

  • Teaching Qualifications (PETTL / PGCE) AET (Award in Education and Training).
  • Deep understanding of employment needs and challenges
  • Understanding of the needs of groups who will be involved in the programme
  • Creative mindset to help design and implement the Pathways programme within the targeted areas.
  • Knowledge of government agendas related to enterprise and employability for adults.
  • Ability to use a range of ICT and Multimedia programmes to create, design, and deliver.

Desirable

  • A strong knowledge of and experience of working within a Football CCO
  • Outstanding track record in developing education programmes and opportunities for groups who may be hard to reach
  • Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation, CCO’s and Football Charity programmes
  • Knowledge of PLCF and PLPFA funded projects
  • Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector
  • GDPR knowledge compliance
