JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Human Resources Intern. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the overall functions of the Human Resource Department. The primary responsibilities include assisting with HR events, managing office duties, and providing support in various HR functions such as benefits administration, personnel records management, and report preparation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the the entire Human Resource Department

  • Contribute to the planning and seamless execution of various HR- related events

  • Support daily office operations by undertaking tasks such as data entry, mailing, filing, processing check requests, generating reports, and handling miscellaneous projects

  • Review employee files, collect personnel records and compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities

  • Provide support in the administration of employee benefits and benefits program including bill reconciliation, I-9 retention, handling worker’s compensation claims and various other HR functions

  • Support the upkeep of personnel-related records, encompassing staffing, training, grievance, performance evaluation, classifications, and employee leaves of absences

  • Search employee files to obtain information for authorized personal when needed

  • Collaborate in the generation and execution of ad hoc reports within the HR information System (HRIS)

  • Analyze needs of department and adjust workload based on deadlines

  • Actively search for ways to improve processes and procedures

  • All other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business related field such as Human Resources/Management

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher

  • Experience working in HRIS; preferably Workday

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Some administrative experience preferred

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Self-sufficient and motivated

  • Must be organized and able to work in a high-pace environment
