POSITION SUMMARY
Performs duties required to monitor, patrol, and control access to Citizens Bank Park property and guard against acts of violence, fire, theft, trespass, and vandalism. Ballpark Security Officers are responsible for observing and reporting to the Ballpark Security Supervisor, all activity and violations of Phillies and Citizens Bank Park policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring personnel entry/exits, issuing visitor passes, inspecting bags and logging visitors.
  • Completing rounds as directed; conducting vehicle and foot patrols of Citizens Bank Park property as instructed.
  • Monitoring the closed-circuit television and alarm systems for Citizens Bank Park and being alert for unusual activities.
  • Initializing responses to alarms in the facility ensuring proper ballpark personnel are notified.
  • Maintaining a daily, digital report on all incidents, activities and observations during a shift; must be able to respond quickly to emergencies.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position is a 24/7 responsibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A workday consists of a 12-hour shift, up to 4 days a week with the possibility of overtime.
  • Ability to operate a two-way radio (5 watts).
  • Police, military, or security experience preferred.
  • Must have valid driverโ€™s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Individual must be dependable, trustworthy, possess strong oral and written communications and have excellent interpersonal skills.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • College degree preferred.
  • Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience with video surveillance and access control systems.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Certification to operate a forklift.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb multiple levels using stairwells, ramps and ladders.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Ability to kneel and squat up to 30 minutes at a time.
  • Frequent walking, which may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to make 2-3 rounds of the ballpark during a 12 hour shift, each round could take approximately 30-60 minutes of continuous walking.
  • Ability to stand (and sometimes bend) for bag check duties.
  • Ability to perform tours of ballpark and surrounding property.
  • Ability to perform all aspects of job during inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to maneuver, lift and place items such as sandbags, bike racks, railroad gates, etc. as listed below (categorized as Frequent, Occasional, Seldom):
    • Lifting/Carrying 1-10 lbs: Frequent
    • Lifting/Carrying 11-20 lbs: Frequent
    • Lifting/Carrying 21-50 lbs: Occasional
    • Lifting/Carrying 51-100 lbs: Seldom
    • Lifting/Carrying over 100 lbs: Seldom
    • Pushing: Frequent

    • Bending: Frequent
