Position Summary
Charlotte Football Club is seeking passionate and dedicated part-time Community Youth Soccer Support Staff to join our Greater Goals youth program and other community initiatives. Greater Goals is a free after-school program that combines soccer and literacy to empower elementary students in Charlotte and Winston-Salem. As a member of the Support Staff, you will play a key role in shaping the program’s impact by mentoring and supporting our Greater Goals coaches, who are typically classroom teachers. By visiting weekly practices, you’ll provide constructive feedback, enhance coaching techniques, and ensure coaches feel confident, prepared, and aligned with program goals. We’re looking for leaders who are not only experienced in playing and coaching soccer but also excel in empowering others and providing feedback. If you’re driven to make a difference both on and off the field and have the skills to coach the coaches, this role is for you.
Primary Responsibilities
• Attend weekly practices to observe and assist Greater Goals coaches.
• Provide personalized feedback and guidance to improve coaching effectiveness.
• Collaborate with coaches to ensure alignment with program objectives and standards.
• Serve as a leadership figure, fostering confidence and success among the coaching team.
• Contribute to the overall mission of the Greater Goals program by supporting its integration of soccer and literacy education.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Proven experience playing and coaching soccer at a competitive level.
• Experience working with youth
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide others.
• Passion for youth development, education, and community engagement.
• A commitment to the mission and values of Charlotte FC and the Greater Goals program.
• Must pass pre-employment screens
Preferred Qualifications
• Bi-lingual in Español
• CPR Certified

Work Environment
• Outdoors on the fields and some office work
• Various weather conditions including extreme heat and inclement weather
• Work varies based on schedule and business needs. Work schedule includes night and weekend hours.
Physical Demands
Occasional bending, lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
