A Quick Summary about the Global Partnerships Solutions Specialist Role:

The Global Partnerships Solutions Specialist will report to the Director of Global Partnerships Insights & Solutions, working on the strategic needs of the Global Partnerships department. You will have a primary focus of supporting the business development efforts of the department, utilizing data insights to provide sales solutions driving new partnership revenue. You will also serve as a thought partner for the new business sales team in building data focused sales narratives, providing intelligence for the prospect building process, creative development of proposal and go-to-market presentations, as well managing a strong internal sales reporting structure.

What the Global Partnerships Solutions Specialist will do:

  • Help lead the strategic data and strategy efforts for the new business development process, working in collaboration with the Global Partnerships sales team in building data narratives, intelligence, market research and more, in effort to drive revenue for the organization.
  • Meet the needs of the Director of Global Partnerships Sales for sales reporting and analytics, working in conjunction with the Business Strategy team on development of reporting needs.
  • Collaborating, on a daily basis, with the Business Strategy department to identify meaningful sources of data to drive new business narratives for the sales process.
  • Work with other departments to build a strong knowledge base of organization, helping identify new partnership opportunities based on the priorities of other departments, and presenting opportunities to the Global Partnership department in effort to drive new revenue.
  • Support the new business prospecting process providing industry analysis and prospect scorecards for the new sales team, reviewing brand indexing and insights to enrich the prospect process to identify highly qualified brand leads.
  • Provide ongoing brand & category analysis from across the sports industry, delivering insights evaluating comparative analysis on how current partnerships score against industry benchmarks, and identifying where new incremental revenue opportunities exist.
  • Creation of go-to-market sales materials to support the sales process, as well as custom proposal presentations, managing a high-volume of creative development projects for the sales team.
  • Delivery of ongoing sales stories / narratives for the sales team to utilize in the sales process.
  • Manage ongoing Rate Card analysis in collaboration with Business Strategy for full suite of assets / solutions provided by the Global Partnerships team.
  • Conduct white space analysis to measure new business opportunities, innovating the asset mix to mee the needs of partner clients.
  • Work with Business Strategy and Global Partnership leaders to evaluate and evolve the sales structure and dynamics of assets and strategies.
  • Attend client meeting as necessary to present data insights and solutions in support of the sales process.
  • Collaborate with Business Strategy to build a successful model of monetizing the Magic database and direct messaging opportunities, leveraging the sophistication of our data base to drive new partner revenue and best practices for data usage.
  • Support the department’s synergy with the Finance Department to follow account receivable process, ensuring a proper collections process, which includes reporting internally.
  • Participate in revenue forecasting reporting based on contractually obligated revenue, expiring contracts and predictive new sales.
  • Work closely with the Director of Global Partnership Sales for ongoing needs of the retention and activation process.
  • Work closely with the Globally Partnerships Insights Specialist to drive the overall strategic needs of the department forward, with the leadership of the Director of Global Partnerships Insights & Solutions.
  • Support affiliate team properties as necessary, including but not limited to, providing sales solutions and narratives to the collective sales force in Global Partnerships to drive revenue for affiliate properties.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What the Global Partnerships Solutions Specialist needs to have:

  • Four (4) year degree in Sports Management, Data Analytics, Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Four (4) + years experience in partnership marketing and analytics with a consumer brand, agency, media / sports property or similar account management position at a pro-sports team required.
  • Working knowledge of the media measurement landscape required.
  • Creative ability to develop and deliver best-in-class presentation materials is required.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain corporate relationships, with senior level executives, managers/clients.
  • Experience at developing activation marketing plans, promotions, presentations and proposals and demonstrated knowledge of general promotional concepts and marketing principles highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in partnership or media sales is preferred.
  • Experience in digital media sales and activation is preferred.
  • Analytics and data analysis background is preferred.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and processes is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
  • Ability to work select number (10-20) Magic home games, which includes nights and weekends.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.
