Job Description:

Summary:

The Senior Manager, Partnership Development is responsible for developing and selling custom, bespoke partnership plans that meet an ever-changing set of brand objectives and strategies that deliver results for our prospective and existing partners. This role will also be responsible for leading a team of junior sellers through the go-to-market process, across local, regional and national landscapes from initial pitch to deal closure. The Senior Manager will also liaise heavily with Partner Solutions and Engagement counterparts to assess overall category exploration and long-term revenue growth opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative and strategic, brand-focused solutions for new business opportunities and existing multi-year partners

  • Lead new business outreach on coordinated local, regional, national and international sales efforts to contribute to development team’s revenue objectives

  • Oversee Business Developments efforts to explore open and opportunistic category growth areas to generate new leads

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Partner Solutions to identify and develop new ideas and partner growth concepts relative to awareness, traffic driving, interactive and digital campaigns and hospitality

  • Work with Partner Solutions to create strategic marketing campaigns and platforms that drive revenue growth, meet brand objectives and deliver against the customers KPIs

  • Consistently track and evaluate outreach activity, proposal progress, and closed business

  • Support the Partner Solutions and Engagement staff to ensure that all elements included in a partnership are delivered in accordance with provisions of each agreement

  • Act as a contributor and thought leader in improving departmental processes and integration of modern technology to enhance efficiency and effort

  • Collaborate with other departments across the organization when creating proposals to seek approval and support on potential partner initiatives

  • Teach and employ effective listening and exploration techniques to understand and appropriately align with partner and prospect brand strategy

  • Ensure partner satisfaction and continued renewal of relationship with team heads relative to any conversation

  • Work closely with Partnerships Leadership team and other members of the corporate partnerships development team to achieve all departmental revenue goals

  • All other duties as assigned by the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 6+ years of professional team and/or sports industry sales / business development experience required

  • Must have 2+ years management experience

  • Must be a high performer / top producer with proven success in business development

  • Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with energy and enthusiasm

  • Must be a self starter that is creative and solutions oriented

  • Must be able to compete in a high volume / high yield work environment

  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have strong time and project management skills

  • Must show strong teamwork and relationship building skills

  • Must show innovation, initiative, autonomy and a strong work ethic

  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while being proactive and flexible in the face of change and last-minute requirements

  • Must be professional and mature

  • Must be flexible and open to learning new skills

  • Must be process driven

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be willing to work extended hours necessary to achieve personal and department goals

  • Driver’s license required
