Job Description:
Summary:
Seeking an individual to join the New York Mets Professional Scouting department. This individual will be tasked with evaluating players across the professional landscape. Specific scouting assignments will be tailored to best fit the individual’s location and skillset.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate and write reports on players across the affiliated baseball player universe
Additional reporting on international professionals, offseason leagues, and free agent workouts as assigned by department leadership
Gather background information on players of interest
Create, review, and update player rankings for assigned coverage groups
Provide recommendations to department leadership during various player acquisition periods
Qualifications:
Ability to evaluate professional players and complete assigned scouting reports in a timely manner
Previous scouting experience is preferred, not required
Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends, or holiday hours with willingness to adjust availability to the baseball schedule
Strong communication and collaborative skills and a growth mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000
