WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Summary:
In collaboration with internal and industry stakeholders, including the League office consumer products team, legal, finance, quality control and IT areas, this role will focus on premium licensing programs to drive Club and League revenue, support partner activation programs and enhance brand awareness.

Manage day-to-day engagement with Clubs related to Club and League programs, initiatives, and policies. This includes proactively identifying and sharing of best practices relating to sales, marketing, and operational business initiatives to achieve revenue targets and objectives; ensuring that NHL policies impacting the Clubs are effectively communicated and supported; and helping navigate opportunities and issues resulting from League engagement with Clubs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is integral to the management of Club engagement associated with premium licensing, new technology partnership activation opportunities, including NFT, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain activations; and other related new business opportunities. It involves the evaluation of proposed Club partnerships and related materials submissions, including the review/approval process for execution of under NHL policies and collaboration with internal stakeholders (Consumer Products, Sales, Marketing, Legal, QC, etc.). The candidate will help support Clubs throughout the licensing process, including identifying issues and opportunities of proposed Club activations prior to League office review, and enabling League and Club management to proactively address sensitive matters in a timely manner for the benefit of all. Support the execution of special projects and League initiatives including the execution of the annual Club Business Meetings.

  • Excellent interpersonal (including written and oral) communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment to manage deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel and work nights and weekends as needed
  • Possess exceptional technology skills, including fluency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Monday.com, Survey Monkey and have a high level of interest / familiarity in emerging media and digital technology platforms and their application in a business context
  • Proven track record of innovation and successful project and event management
  • Knowledge of NFT, Cryptocurrency, and Blockchain is a plus
  • A minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate professional employment history required
  • League, team, and/or media property experience is preferred


Education/Certifications:

  • A 4-year undergraduate degree is required

SALARY RANGE:

$95-105K

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
