WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
The Freelance Videographer & Editor for NHL.com International will be responsible for shooting and editing video content in an effort to help grow NHL.com's foreign language websites. CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGES: Finnish, Swedish, German, Czech or Slovak. Location; able to commute to any NHL arena in the US or Canada.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct video shoots and interviews on site at practices and/or games with NHL players as requested
  • Ability to ask good, hockey-related questions and conduct professional interviews with NHL players and staff
  • Edit and produce fully-finished video interviews to be posted on NHL.com foreign language websites and social platforms in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience

Required

  • 3-5+ years professional experience in video production, shoots and editing
  • Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premiere preferred)
  • Proficient in shooting video, including lighting and audio
  • A strong understanding of hockey, the players, teams and content important to NHL fans
  • Fluent in one of the NHL.com international languages: Finnish, Swedish, German, Czech or Slovak

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop a plus


Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree


Required Skills

  • Willingness to cover NHL practices and/or games

SALARY RANGE:

$200 per video that’s published on our websites.

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
