Are you obsessively organized and need to see a plan to completion before you can rest at night? The NHL is looking for someone who can coordinate complicated marketing plans across multiple platforms and media, as well as technology-based project implementations, and ensure that each individual group stays on track. The successful candidate will have multiple skillsets that can be put to use on an ad hoc basis, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to do what is necessary to get the job done. If you prefer to have multiple projects with different required skills, then this is the role for you.


  • Serve as point person on outreach to external and internal partners to secure all required assets for all digital marketing campaigns , working with email marketing, paid media marketing, partnership marketing, traditional marketing and other departments as required
  • Oversee project/campaign-based project management documentation and tracking boards for Fan Engagement department, to manage timelines for content delivery and distribution
  • Work closely with social and database strategy teams to ensure consistent messaging across email, social media and paid digital efforts
  • Develop documentation as needed on best practices, to include industry trends, competitive analysis and testing results, for the League and Clubs
  • Serve as business lead for BLADE technical implementation projects
  • Coordinate communication and project needs and milestones between BLADE Team, DevOps, SecOps, NetOps and PMO
  • Ability to understand requirements and needs for technical implementation projects to identify necessary stakeholders and appropriate timelines
  • Ability to operate collaboratively across multiple business units and personalities, and who wants to work in an environment without day-to-day micromanagement; someone who is a self-starter
  • Support event planning and logistical management for League meetings led by department


  • Self-driven, creative, and collaborative approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication (including editing) skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Able to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues
  • Comfort using project management tools (e.g. MS Project,
  • Comfort using Excel
  • General familiarity with database platforms and associated technologies (i.e. ETL, QC)
  • Excellent proof-reading and grammatical skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and teams, in a time-sensitive, multi-tasking role
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently with discretion


  • At least 3-4 years of related experience with digital marketing
  • 1-2 years of experience with technical software implementation and IT systems
  • Experience in social media marketing, with paid media preferred
  • Prior experience working and collaborating across multiple business units
