SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Engineer to join our growing native app team. As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the NHL's Android application. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions that are seen by millions of users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement advanced features for our Android applications using Kotlin and Java
Experience designing and developing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable UIs using Jetpack Compose
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and prioritize features
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to development guidelines
Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption
Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies
Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by QA or users
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives

QUALIFICATIONS

3-4 years of professional experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java
Strong understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries integration
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices

EDUCATION

Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
