Reporting organizationally to the Senior Telecom Manager, the Senior Venue Network Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Technology team, and work in close collaboration with the Technology teams based in Canada, Mexico and Zurich and other key individuals responsible for delivering the legacy network infrastructure planning, delivery and operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Venue Network Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26β„’ include:

β€’ Responsible to manage the Legacy Network Infrastructure planning, delivery, and operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and associated events
β€’ Review Network Infrastructure designs and ensure all the aspects of the Network deliverables are implemented at venues and offices according to FIFA requirements:

  • Legacy Networks
  • Legacy CATV/IPTV
  • Legacy Cabling
  • Legacy Monitoring Solution
  • Integration of Legacy Network Support Model into FIFA Operational model

β€’ Actively participate in the scope and R&R definition, liaison with incumbent Network suppliers
β€’ Lead the Legacy Network infrastructure implementation and integration, ensuring it meets FIFA Standards and requirements
β€’ Overseeing the effective and efficient usage of Legacy Network services for FIFA Offices, Tournaments and Events at selected FIFA Events.
β€’ Track the progress of Legacy Network Infrastructure implementation, report status, issues and risks related to Infrastructure projects and operations, according to IT governance and keep counterpart aligned
β€’ Manage an international Team of Telecom Experts/Managers including remote personnel in other countries/time zones
β€’ Liaise with and / or support other projects in clarifying requirements, adhering to robust change management protocol. Ensure that all information pertaining to the delivery and support of Legacy Network Infrastructure are communicated to and well understood by all parties. Deliver technical guidance, coaching & mentoring to team members, including preparation of good practice and educational material for personnel

YOUR PROFILE

β€’ University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
β€’ Strong IT skills and relevant knowledge in Telecom Infrastructure Service, including infrastructure design and implementation, network integration and connectivity.
β€’ Should have broad understanding of Telecom Infrastructure and Information Technologies in Sport Events and sufficient experience in design, commissioning and operation of following systems: BCN, WAN/MAN/LAN, MPLS, VLAN, VoIP, CATV/IPTV, Multicast, Spectrum, Mobile Networks
β€’ A minimum experience of 8-10 years in Network (routing/switching/security/wireless technologies)
β€’ Experience in the Sports / major event industry
β€’ Proven track record of successful delivery of complex Telecom Infrastructure Projects
β€’ Experience in Management of distributed international team of telecom experts and professional
β€’ Fluent in English
β€’ Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
β€’ Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
