Reporting organisationally to the Senior Telecom Manager, the CATV/IPTV Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Technology team, and work in close collaboration with the Technology teams based in Canada, Mexico and Zurich and other key individuals responsible for delivering the CATV and IPTV solutions required for the FIFA World Cup 2026 operations.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the CATV/IPTV Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26β„’ include:

β€’ Manage the CATV/IPTV service planning, delivery, and operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and associated events. The service includes:

  • CATV system in Stadia and IBC
  • IPTV system in all FWC26 Venues
  • Streaming to various platforms
  • VOD services
  • TVs in all FWC26 Venues

β€’ Organize procurement of CATV/IPTV service, manage the selected supplier/s
β€’ Review Legacy and Overlay CATV/IPTV design documentation and ensure it meets FIFA requirements.
β€’ Actively participate in the scope and R&R definition, liaison with different stakeholders, including Host Broadcaster, Stadia, CATV/IPTV suppliers, etc.
β€’ Lead the CATV/IPTV infrastructure design, implementation and integration, ensuring it meets FIFA Standards and requirements
β€’ Overseeing the effective and efficient usage of Legacy Network services for FIFA Offices, Tournaments and Events at selected FIFA Events.
β€’ Ensure the Project scope, timelines and budget are respected by all the stakeholders. Track the progress of CATV/IPTV Infrastructure implementation, report status, issues and risks related to Infrastructure projects and operations, according to Technology governance and keep counterparts aligned
β€’ Liaise with and / or support other projects in clarifying requirements, adhering to robust change management protocol. Deliver technical guidance, coaching & mentoring to team members, including preparation of good practice and educational material for personnel

YOUR PROFILE

β€’ University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
β€’ Strong IT skills and relevant knowledge in CATV/IPTV/Streaming Services, including infrastructure design, implementation, integration and connectivity.
β€’ Should have broad understanding of CATV/IPTV, Streaming and Broadcast Infrastructure and Information Technologies in Sport Events and sufficient experience in design, commissioning and operation of following protocols/technologies: H.264/H.265 encoding, Multicast, SRT, RTMP, DVB, fiber convertors, etc.
β€’ A minimum experience of 8-10 years in CATV/IPTV
β€’ Experience in the Sports / major event industry
β€’ Proven track record of successful delivery of complex CATV/IPTV Infrastructure Projects
β€’ Experience in Management of distributed international team of telecom experts and professional
β€’ Fluent in English
β€’ Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
β€’ Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
