Manager, Ticket Operations

Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring hospitable, smooth, and efficient operations of the box office for all Comerica Center events as well as assisting the Director in overseeing the Ticket Operations department for the Dallas Stars Hockey Club

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Accurately build and maintain all aspects of ticketed events using Ticketmaster Host and Archtics, including event builds, inventory management, and fulfilling ticket requests for both the Dallas Stars and events at Comerica Center
  • Work with Comerica Center GM and Event Promoters for all Comerica Center event ticket sales
  • Assist with financial reporting functions by ensuring full and accurate accounting for all ticket sales
  • Inform, educate, and train department on new or existing programs and initiatives
  • Provides open communication between the ticket operations for the Dallas Stars, American Airlines Center, and the Comerica Center for ticketing needs, event setups, and pricing
  • Provide daily reports of sales receipts to the accounting department
  • Ensure proper distribution of all ticket orders
  • Communicate with internal staff and assist with ticketing needs and concerns
  • Communicate with ticket company representatives regarding event setup, updates, and revisions in computer operations.
  • Manage full time and part time employees in the box office for Comerica Center events
  • Responsible for all Comerica Center events
  • Handle ticket operations cash deposits

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete payroll for Comerica Center box office staff
  • Dallas Stars event assistance, if necessary
  • Handle internal promotional ticket offers for employees


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced experience with Archtics, TM Host, and other Ticketmaster products
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relative experience
  • Must have minimum 3 years of computerized ticket operations experience
  • Ticket Operations management experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to both and office environment where noise levels are moderate and an arena environment, where noise levels are higher than normal.
