JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Partnership Strategy & Business Solutions is a key member of the Corporate Partnerships department, acting as a storyteller, collaborator and change agent responsible for creating and impacting deliverables necessary for Corporate Partnerships to perform at a high level. The ideal candidate for this role is data savvy and possess strong creative & project management skills; comfortable to liaise with internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels and with varying perspectives all with the end goal of creating world class platforms and driving results for our partners. Acting as a change agent within the Corporate Partnerships department & the wider organization through proactive collaboration, storytelling, platform development, research and metrics/inventory tracking, the individual in this role is responsible for fueling department success across a number of core tenant's associated with this role:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Change Agent: Operate from a state of curiosity, proactiveness and innovative thinking to consistently provide timely solutions for our partners and resources for the Partnership Development & Marketing teams. The individual in this role, is not afraid to ask “why” and challenged to always be obsessed with finding a better way to drive value for our partners.
- Collaboration: The individual within this role is expected to be the liaison for internal conversations, quickly establishing relationships not just within Corporate Partnerships but within the wider organization in order to gain an understanding of various department initiatives and objectives. Success will be achieved through regular communication with internal stakeholders that identifies synergies, improves ease of business and ultimately drives revenue opportunities for prospective and current clients.
- Storytelling: Oversee the development of compelling data-driven collateral, ensuring they effectively communicate our value proposition for both current and prospective partners. The individual will achieve this through pulling in various sources of information into cohesive stories, briefs and other resources aiding current and future conversations in a timely manner.
- Platform Development: Architect integrated programs that leverage a 360-degree approach of diverse inventory, ensuring we are consistently delivering cohesive campaigns for prospective and current partners. The individual in this role would be responsible for ensuring we have a bench of successful platforms to leverage as well as crafting new and customized campaigns on a regular basis through ideation, brainstorms and research.
- Vendor Management: The individual in this role would be expected to support the management of external vendors and lead new research projects (e.g. Blinkfire, Wakefield, Nielsen, etc…) that support the storytelling potential of the department and value proposition of the Cavaliers/REG.
- Industry Research: This individual is expected to network regularly with industry peers and have an eye for capturing best practices to be presented and shared with the Partnerships team. Success is achieved by having a pulse on “what’s next” in the industry and can succinctly share that through best-in-class examples from sports & entertainment.
- Performance/Metrics: The individual in this role would be primarily responsible for Digital Partnership Analytics, in collaboration with and providing coaching to the Digital Solutions team member. This would require knowledge of and expertise with platforms such as Blinkfire, Google Ad Manager & Adobe Analytics. Success will be achieved by ensuring organization and tracking of our assets in a manner that allows for ease in reporting and identifying new solutions.
- Key Projects & Initiatives: Supporting the Sr. Director of Partnerships Strategy & Solutions, the individual in this role would support various growth initiatives such as international strategy, media packaging and other key projects that flow through the Solutions team as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in sports and entertainment with a focus on partnership strategy; experience with teams or agencies is a plus.
- Knowledge of corporate partnership sales process within an entertainment organization, agency, professional sports team, league, or media.
- Experience and proficiency in various partnership analytics platforms such as social, broadcast & signage tracking (e.g., Nielsen, Blinkfire, Google Ad Manager, SponsorUnited, etc.).
- Experience with Adobe Suite products (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and other creative programs.
- Continuous learner and a growth mindset toward driving the business and developing solutions for clients.
- Highly motivated, creative, and able to communicate with a diverse group of colleagues.
- Possess strong critical thinking & reasoning skills with ability to synthesize complex information and data into compelling go-to-market stories.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.

- Strong industry network or willingness to further develop connections to that are maintained through frequent best practice sharing.
